Thai Yoga Bodywork is a combination of hands-on techniques such as assisted stretches, yoga poses, gentle twisting, acupressure and energy work. It has also been referred to as "Lazy Man Yoga". It is not a yoga class and does not require you to know anything about yoga. This ancient healing art helps the receiver to relax and engage the parasympathetic nervous system to naturally release blocked energy held in the body. Thai Yoga Bodywork guides the physical body to therapeutically stretch, increases range of motion and engages the breath to stimulate circulation allowing the body to refresh. This holistic practice is designed to bring the body, mind and spirit back to balance and ignite the body’s natural abilities to heal. Thai Yoga Bodywork is an excellent compliment to any exercise routine and available to a wide range of ages and abilities.

This ancient healing practice is rooted in various layers of historical influence including Ayurveda, Yoga, Chinese medicine and Thai medicine. Thai Yoga Bodywork has been passed down through generations mostly through oral tradition and practiced today in many different forms across Thailand. In the West, Thai Yoga Bodywork is one of the fastest growing massage modalities in America the past decade.

This style of healing work is performed on a Thai futon mattress, with comfortable clothes you can stretch in, and no massage oils.
